Voices of Influence Australia applies a rights-based approach to our own work using the following guiding principles.

    Treating everyone with respect and dignity.

  • EMPOWERMENT

    Empowering young people with the relevant skills, knowledge and confidence to participate in public discussion and decisions which affect their (and others’) human rights.

  • ACCOUNTABILITY

    Remaining politically active and critical of power structures and institutions to then hold the Government, other peak bodies and corporations to account.

  • COMMUNITY SOLIDARITY

    Assuring that all of our work fosters connection and is people-focused - positioning community members at the centre of everything that we do.

  • HUMILITY

    Being open to learning from others, recognising our limitations and elevating others' voices where they hold greater knowledge and experience.
